Lakes Best Times on the Fort Steilacoom Course
You can view the most recent list of the best Lakes athlete times on the Fort Steilacoom Course. Click on this link for the best time on the Fort Steilacoom course. These are not PR’s but the best times on our course. These times only go back to 1999 when the current Fort Steilacoom course came into being. Over time, parts have changed but the the start/finish area and location of the hills has remained relatively constant.
This year Coach Clark achieved to milestones. In the spring, he was awarded the Frosty Westering Excellence in Coaching award from the Tacoma Athletic Commission. Then he was inducted into the Washington State Cross Country Coaches Hall of Fame on January 20. He also was voted Coach of the Year for the 16th time at the Pierce County League Championships.
State Meet History
Lakes has a rich history of State Meet participation. We have had a number of athletes finish on the podium, including some state champions and All Americans. You can view a comprehensive list of all Lakes State Meet competitors and award history here. For times and places, you can view the WIAA Cross Country web page for past state meet results, going back to the very first state championship meet. You can visit their past results page here.
We will be adding more maps to our training routes page. This allows our athletes to have a better idea of how far and fast they ran. We use them to help plan our athletes training and keep track of where they are running, which is quite helpful with a large team.
